Can You Have Microsoft Access On A Mac

Aug 25, 2011 @DJ GMAN15. There is no such thing as Microsoft Access for Mac. Microsoft has never made a version of Access that can run on Mac. If you absolutely must have Access, then you either need to consider a replacement App, or install Windows on your Mac, and install a version of Microsoft Office for Windows that has Access. Oct 22, 2004  Hey peeps, that is the question. I can buy a new mac for work if I can get Microsoft Access for it. I know I could just get Virtual PC, but that's not really an option due to the budget. So does anyone know if you can get MS Access for Mac? If you use Microsoft Excel on your Mac, you can save the spreadsheets you create and open them in Numbers, Apple’s spreadsheet app. It’s a handy feature to use in case you can’t access.

UPDATED JUNE 2017: Prices updated and a 6th app added…

Once you verify you have a license, anytime you need to install or reinstall Office you can go straight to the section below, Sign in to download Office and select the tab for steps to install on a PC or Mac. You'll sign in with your work or school account for these versions of Office. Not to disparage Jim's suggestion, but I doubt Access will be produced for the Mac regardless of demand or how nicely you ask:-) Access is heavily dependent on ActiveX Controls which is a Windows-only technology. Purchase microsoft word for mac download. Without it Access Forms & Reports would be nonexistent as would other core elements of the program.

Yes you read that correctly! Up until recently, there was no way to open a Microsoft Access database directly on a Mac.
